A Place to Be Still

Seeking to share what Leelanau's Sleeping Bear helped preserve in me

The Walk in 1978
Sleeping Bear Point walk in 1978

I returned to Leelanau’s Sleeping Bear 4 years after leaving the stable. I hung out all summer in campgrounds and at friends' homes, writing and taking pictures. When it came time to lift my head from words, I visited my family's favorite places, listening in the peace and inspiration we found and celebrated together.

It's been three and a half years since I walked the shores of Leelanau's Sleeping Bear. I'm grateful that this beautiful preserved place is a thought away.

With this site I hope to share what Leelanau's Sleeping Bear helped preserve in me.

Enjoy!
Love,
